Services and Fees

Please contact me for group training on mental health.

Individual Therapy

£130

 Mon & Tue 9am to 4pm

£150.00

all other times.

Each session will run for 50 minutes.

I am trained in the three main approaches of Counselling. Psychodynamic, Person Centred and CBT. I have a range of tools and techniques depending which style works best for you. I provide long term work and short term solution focused work. My style of therapy is direct and clear. Something that people have capacity for is to see themselves or their environment as negative, hostile or futile. I look at ways of seeing this differently and options of how to change this and empower people.

Couples Therapy

£150

Mon & Tue    9am to 4pm

 £170.00  all other times.

Each session will run for 1 hour 10 minutes

The focus is placed on the relationship between you both as opposed to your individual histories. Invariably your lives prior to your relationship bare some relevance to the work and will inform how you relate to each other. However the emphasis is placed on how you communicate with each other and how you regard each other. Typically, tasks are set to put into practice at home and for this reason it is not uncommon for longer breaks in between sessions. The work occasionally can break out individually but will always regroup to put into practice what has been learned.

Family/Group Work

£170 per session

Each session will run for 1 hour and 10 minutes

Family therapy looks to help members of a family understand each other better, change negative behaviors and resolve conflicts. It can help each member see things from different perspectives and how their behavior impacts others.

It is beneficial when communication has become difficult and complex dynamics have been established.

Approaches to Therapy

There are several different approaches to therapy, each with its own unique focus and techniques. Here is a brief overview of three common approaches:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a form of therapy that aims to challenge negative thinking patterns and learn new ways of viewing problems. It focuses on the present moment and may involve homework assignments to be completed outside of therapy sessions. CBT can be helpful in interrupting unhelpful thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may be causing problems.

Person-Centered Therapy is based on the idea that the client is the expert in their own life, and that they have the best understanding of what is right for them. The therapy is led by the client, and the therapist offers a non-judgmental and positive space for the client to explore their inner world.

Psychodynamic Therapy focuses on the client's early life experiences and how they may be impacting their current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The therapist will examine the client's history, unconscious thoughts, dreams, and relationships with caregivers, among other things. Through this approach, clients can gain insight into how past experiences may be influencing their current coping strategies and find new ways of living that prioritize their own needs.

As a therapist, I am trained in a way that integrates these approaches and I can adapt  to meet the needs of my clients. I have found that people often respond differently to therapy, and may be drawn to certain approaches based on their personality. My goal is to empower my clients to make decisions that are in their best interest and to feel capable of managing their own lives.
